45mm TREATED PINE SLEEPERWOOD
TABLES AND BENCH SEATS - ECONO

We use LOSP H3 treated pine sleepers, beams and posts to build this range. The tops are made from 45mm thick material.

To provide an afforable, strong, rustic and sturdy product this range is made in production batches to certain standard sizes - custom sizes are not available. The sleepers are smoothly planned from the sawmill and can be provided as a raw wood finish to allow you to coat yourself or we offer a Beech, Merbau and Balckburn colured finish.

LOSP H3 treated pine sleepers have a distinct curved grain, knots, occasional surface cracks and other natural wood blemishes that add to the rustic beauty and character of this style furniture. LOSP H3 treated pine sleepers are designed to endure exterior conditions. Although the timber won’t rot it will weather and grey if not coated with an appropriate exterior paint or sealer. Depending on your expectations this may lend to the finish you’re after. If exposed directly to continual rain and sun, a higher rate of weathering will occur, and more regular maintenance and reapplication of paint or sealer will be required. Again, this weathering look may be suited to you.

Pine sleeper furniture is ideally suited for under cover veranda or alfresco settings which may include a bit of sun and rain. Slight weathering such as a few fine cracks and slight cupping may occur which is expected and part of the rustic look. Resin bleeding can occasionally occur. If resin bleed does occur and is sticky it can be rubbed down lightly with a cloth and mineral turpentine. If the resin has hardened, then light sanding with 150g and 400g paper and rubbing down with mineral turpentine as well as possible reapplication of paint or sealer and beeswax polish will help restore.

he required maintenance is dependent on how the timber is finished, whether painted, oiled, sealed. Please check with us what is required depending on how your purchase has been finished.
